Ph.D. student position in computational structural biology

The Computational Systems Biology Lab of the University of Georgia is looking for a Ph.D. student (with research assistantship) in the area of computational structural biology. We prefer the candidates to have a M.S. degree in computational science, (bio)chemistry, physics or molecular biology with some research experience. Experience in developing energy potentials for proteins and nucleotides is highly desired. Computer programming skill is essential. The successful candidate will be working to develop computational methods for prediction of protein-DNA complex structures and applications to elucidation of transcription regulation networks in microbes.

Interested applicants should contact Prof. Ying Xu (xyn@bmb.uga.edu) or apply formally to the Ph.D. program of the Institute of Bioinformatics of the University of Georgia.
