| Excavator is currently released for Linux with a Windows and Mac version coming in the near future. You can download the Exavator source code or pre-compiled binaries by going to the Download Page. Exavator comes in a .tar.gz file which can be immediatley installed on your computer by unzipping and extracting Excavator from the tar file. Excavator also comes in a Java Archive file (JAR). More detailed instructions can be found on the Installation Page. |

| After installing Excavator, you can run the 'kernel', or clustering program, from the command line or use a GUI built in Java. Running the GUI requires the Java Runtime Environment (JRE) that comes by itself or along with the Java SDK. The JRE can be found at the Java Website. Command line options for Excavator can be found on the Command Line Options Page. Documentation on the Java GUI can be also be found on the Java GUI Documentation Page here. |
